“Unless you put your work out there no matter what, you’re going to die regretting not doing it.

~ Youngman Brown

Are you desperately trying to beat creative block?

We’ve all been there, right? You’ve decided you want to be a full-time artist, and you can’t wait to get started on following your creative dream….

But there’s something in your way.

Try as you might, the ideas just won’t come, you don’t have the time, or you end up stuck in a job you don’t enjoy any more just to pay the bills.

So what can you do to get out of this rut?

In this week’s podcast, we talk to Youngman Brown – the man behind the awesome Your Creative Push podcast.

He’s spoken to more than 100 artists and heard how they beat creative block.

And, in this interview, Youngman shares the knowledge that’s helped them follow their dreams of becoming successful artists.

How to Beat Creative Block and Become an Artist

Youngman Brown launched Your Creative Push earlier this year as a way of encouraging people to pursue their creative passion in all areas of art.

As a keen writer holding down a full-time job, Youngman felt there was a gap in the market for a podcast which inspired people to follow their dreams.

He’d just started working on his ‘Words + Music’ project – an ongoing series of videos where he reinterprets songs he loves and creates a new narrative for them.

You can watch one of his ‘Words + Music’ videos here:

He says: “I had the idea for two years, but something was holding me back. I wished that I’d had a friend who would encourage me to do it, or a podcast that would inspire me on a daily basis to push through. I couldn’t find one, so I made one!”

And, with that, the Your Creative Push podcast was born – a series of daily podcasts for people with busy lives to encourage them to pursue their creative dreams.

Since he started, Youngman has interviewed more than 100 creatives – from undiscovered artists to high profile names.

And what’s the amazing thing he’s discovered? That nearly all artists suffer from exactly the same fears and creative blocks in their way.

So, if you want to beat creative block and finally start working towards what you really want in life, you’ll find heaps of great advice in this interview and on Youngman’s site.
