Ireally need help with the masking layer part. I tried it several times, but didn’t work.I got the first steps alright but the thing is that while your doing it we can’t see what your doing with photoshop. And when you reveal your masking layers, then there are like 3 masking layers switched and ready. is there a change to get this in the right order. since drawing vehicles is also part of my dicipline i really like the way you draw the wheels this easilly.
thanks already, Vicenzo
Hi Vincenzo and thanks for getting in touch Try working like this: First, draw your wheel as James does in the video. Next, create a new layer on top and draw a wheel using the Elliptical marquee tool. Fill this in with your chosen foreground color. Then, create a layer mask on this layer (click the yinyang symbol at the bottom of your layers palette), draw another circle and then fill this with black. You should then see that it cuts a shape out. After this, you can add more layers if you wish to build up your wheel. Hope this helps – let me know how you get on
Sorry if my English is not perfect. Iam from Amsterdam. So what i need in short is the wheels training, but in a way that i can see or read your steps with the masking layers.
